Established in 1996 our business has continued to grow over the years with a reputation for excellence and quality for our new product range and also the unique original restored vintage/antique furniture collected from a by gone British colonial and Eurasian style era.
Due to the declining trend of the authentic antiques over the years we now offer a wide range of new custom made and reproduction furniture in addition to our original range.

In addition to the colonial and classic range we also create unique individual handcrafted pieces such as rustic, ox cart/wagon wheel and tree root sculptured furniture carvings and figures.
There is also the contemporary solid teak garden / patio and home furniture to cater for those who prefer a modern look.

The following categories provide only a small sample of the many hundred of items in our showroom.

1) Genuine Authentic Antiques.

Generally old British & Eurasian Colonial style furniture, boxes and military chests discovered in remote areas during our extensive searches and travels over the years. The best are exclusively chosen and collected by us for careful restoration to customer specifications by our skilled craftsmen. These sturdy well hand made works of art were left behind in some of the neighboring countries to Thailand during the days colonial rule by the British Empire. These almost lost functional artifacts can add character and touch of class to any home or business.


2) European & Thai style contemporary
and reproduction furniture.

This furniture is generally handcrafted from the highest grade of old recycled teak.
The western style is built with good old fashioned mortise and tennon, dovetail or wooden peg joints to provide a quality hard wearing piece of beautiful furniture that is made to last.
The Asian artistic and cultural styles are carefully handcrafted and are ideal to add an exotic influence to your property.


3) Export quality Italian style furniture.

Classic & Country style indoor furniture constructed to an impeccable standard using specially treated Para wood which withstands all climates (cold, hot, dry or humid) guaranteed not to warp or crack and is parasite resistant. This range is finished with an oak stain maintaining the natural classic look.


4) Wood Carving "grand, large and small".

These range from small souvenir flat wall carvings and figures to large carved furniture decor and statues which are carefully hand carved from a variety of woods such as teak to cham cha, mango wood and bamboo.

5) Contemporary teak garden furniture.

Stackable and foldable styles are available for easy storage, packing and cost effective shipping. These products are made from sturdy hard wood to withstand all harsh weather conditions and are offered in a wide range of durable stains, teak oil or wax finishes.


6) Ox cart / wagon wheel and old tree
stump & root furniture.

Every unique piece has its own character which is individually hand made from old teak and other very durable hardwood recycled from old carts, wagons and old tree roots etc.


7) Interesting and unusual collectables.

Generally vintage to antique items discovered during our antique furniture hunts throughout remote areas of S.E Asia. Items such as clocks, brass works, pottery, toys, instruments and memorabilia are all part of the collection.


Refinishing and Restoration service
Touchwood provides a staining, refinishing, repair and restoration service for solid wood items by skilled craftsmen in our own workshop or at your home in the case of re-staining windows and doors etc.

Caring for the environment and tropical rain forest
Most of our reproduction/new furniture and carvings are hand crafted from old recycled teak of the utmost quality. Old teak is naturally impervious to parasites and deterioration. The majority of this old teak comes from old houses, cart wheels, railway sleepers or simply salvaged from old damaged furniture etc.

In some of the categories where old recycled wood is not used, sustainable hand grown plantation wood such as unproductive rubber trees are used.
Special pressure and heat treatments make this wood very durable for indoor use and is similar in characteristics to hard woods, thus it becomes resistant to deterioration or parasite infestation for many years.
An example of this is our high export quality “Classic Italian range” this wood is known locally as Mai Yang Para. It is very suitable for all climates hot, cold, humid and dry thus it will not warp or crack after the above enhanced treatment.
